Every member of the Society has rights to initiate a discussion of any subject and to talk about any existing subject. Every opinion shall be written in both English and Japanese and sent to the address shown below with a target subject clearly specified using an e-mail. When they are written in only one language, the secretariat will summarize them and translate into another language. >e-mail address of the Society sqamt-adm@umin.ac.jp Opinions with speakers name will appear in the nearest issue of SQAMT News and also at the home page of the Society with being put in order for easy retrieval. Although the same rule applies to gene analysis, any individual institute will hardly conduct collecting normal control specimens of a sufficient sample size for investigation of SNPs etc. Therefore, there is an urgent demand for establishment of a nationwide system to collect normal control DNAs and provide them under guarantee. I propose the first subject of the Society's activities will be to establish such a system which usual laboratory tests didn't have and is ethical and realistic, aiming at making it a constant business eventually. Please start to discuss the present problems and possible solutions on this plan.
