In addition, the program of diagnostic procedure combination has been advanced and the apt use of clinical laboratory examination has been more importantly. Recently, various gene tests have been developed in the field of genetic medicine. It is, however, doubtful whether all these tests are beneficial for general physician. The main gene tests on the medical reimbursement are that it is related to infectious diseases such as hepatitis, HIV, MRSA, chlamydia trachomatis and tuberculosis, hematological malignancy such as bcr/abl fusion gene detection, genetic disorders such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy/Becker muscular dystrophy. Among them, only a few gene tests related to infectious disorders are practically used by general physician, who are main user in the market of clinical examination, without any scientific interesting. Now the analysis of whole human genome has been completed. As a result of it, we can obtain much more molecular biological findings about the genetic polymorphisms of drug- metabolic enzyme and genes which have influence on life-style related diseases such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, and so on. How far is the market of gene test developed? Hereafter, it is needed to establish the sophisticated educational system of practical genetic medicine for the doctor and medical student who becomes main user of clinical examination in the future.
